Last week I reviewed Mark Batterson’s excellent book, Wild Goose Chase. I wanted to share a couple paragraphs from the book that had an impact on me. In his book, Mark refers repeatedly refers to the Holy Spirit as “the Wild Goose.”
“Guilt has a shrinking effect. it shrinks our dreams. It shrinks our relationships. It shrinks our hearts. It shrinks our lives to the size of our greatest failures.
“Grace has the opposite effect. It expands our dreams. It expands our hearts. And it gives us the courage to chase the WIld Goose all the way to the ends of the earth.”
As leaders, we need to be people of grace, not guilt. Have you let guilt shrink your dreams, relationships, heart, and life? Or are you ready to have your dreams, relationships, heart, and life expanded by the amazing grace of God?
